Sample of poems from Walking the Tideline

beached whelk
in its hollows
the ocean

crow flying
into the wind
treading air

Monarch butterflies
hover over unmarked graves
at Wybalenna

baby photograph
sunlight fades the colour
from his smile

crusty streetkid
leaning over someone's fence
to smell the roses

incoming tide
the wet rocks splashed
with light

along the beach
roses someone scattered
out at sea

at her funeral
all the women feel
pain in their breasts

crossing the creek at night I wade through the moon
