Biography
Jodie Hawthorne grew up in Wynyard and Rocky Cape in the northwest coast of Tasmania, Australia. For the last eight years Jodie has lived mainly in China while completing a BA in Chinese Mandarin and a Graduate Diploma in Folklore Studies. A few years ago she travelled to Deqen as a volunteer crane protector, fell in love with the place and has since called Shangri-la home.
Beginning 2007 Jodie will be hosting small groups into Dequen Tibetan Region for combined travel/artistic expression, written and visual. For more information please email the author at deqenmoon@yahoo.com.au.
